Junk Food Free Meal Options

Below, I have shared with you some fun meal options I will include in my nutrition plan.

Some in which I eat daily!! Like those Kodiak Cakes, we now call them daily cakes.

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring, just make sure you are getting in enough of

nutrient dense food to fuel your body properly.

 

Breakfast:

   

Kodiak Cakes can be found in mostly all grocery stores; including Walmart and target.

If you are looking for a specific flavor or more products than just the power cakes, you may want to check out their website @ www.kodiakcakes.com or even on Amazon– we prefer to buy them in bulk, 3 boxes or 6 boxes at a time!

Dave’s killer Bread is the ultimate go to for avocado toast. Besides it filled with seeds and deliciousness; it is organic, Non GMO, and Whole Grain. Generally its $4.99 a loaf. Again, can be found in Walmart, Target, Shop Rite. Only place I haven’t seen it, is Wegmans. My other favorite is the raisin bread with Daiya, dairy free cream cheese–I promise its better than regular cream cheese! Now this cream cheese can be found at Wegmans. You can begin to see how I go to a couple different stores to get all my “wants” on my grocery list.

As far as condiments go: I stick with sugar free syrup; either Brands of Walden Farms or Maple Groves. Cary’s works too, just notice a little more carbs than the others. Walden farms has zero carbs, calories, but does contain more artificial flavors–my go to is Maple groves. Found in Walmart!   Ketchup– No sugar added, I’m a lover for ketchup. But, salsa taste good on egg omelettes/ avocado too.

 

 

Lunch:

This Burger meal shown has became at least a once a week meal. Bun, burger, and the sweet potato fries are from Trader Joe’s. One day Trader Joe’s will open up an online shop–pleaseee!

Any potatoes taste delicious though if made using an air fryer– if you don’t have one of these YOU ARE MISSING OUT.  SALE is going on for Air Fryer too; Click Here. 

You says you can have a good old PB & jelly Sand which. with the right organic bread, all natural peanut butter, and sugar free grape concord– your set! Sugar Free Grape concord can be found in Walmart or Shop Rite.

Drinks on the side you will see “zevia” which is the only brand of Ginger Ale you should be drinking, and next to the PB & Jelly Sand which you’ll see unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

 

Dinner:

Pizza is Junk Free?! Have you ever heard of the place called MOD Pizza? They make everything right in front of you using brick oven styled pizza! Load up on the veggies, add your chicken for protein, go light on the cheese, and ask for thin crust, I’d say that’s a way you can still enjoy your pizza and eat it too 😉

On the right photo is one of my favorites when going with a low carb meal, higher fat. The fats come from the beef, mozz. cheese, and the green goddess dressing (which can only be found at Trader Joe’s) I’m a sucker for pesto BUT pesto has too many carbs, sugar for me to even have in my house. This salad dressing has be the secret find to compare to pesto! This meal is low carb because I use zucchini as the noodles; ZOODLES. Here is the tool I use to make the spiral shape. Pro TIP* use a toothbrush to clean/wash it.

 

 

Snacks:

Hummus is fine to eat as long as its in moderation & read the labels; look for “olive oil” as the ingredient rather than “soybean oil”.

Protein Bars that have the right amount of Protein, Carbs, Fats and Calories– a Meal Replacement Bar. Can only be found via online and have to buy in bulk, but if you do the math it comes out to $2.67 per bar. Bars in a store or at a gas station are usually $3 and up, and not even quality. My digestion tract cannot handle most protein bars out on the market.

 

 

 

Dessert/ More Snacks:

Chocolate lovers? So many JUNK FREE options to choose from. I suggest starting off with chocolate rice cakes, enlightened ice cream; either pints of these Popsicles shown above. I’ve felt I had more control with these 90-100 calorie Popsicle than the 300-400 calorie pints. I’ve also tried many light to dairy free ice cream and they are too watery–enlightened 100%,  my nightly ritual of The Chocolate PB Fudge. Level-1 Protein Powder can be found HERE + FREE SHIPPING

I participated in Marisa’s Challenge from March to May this year, participating in this challenge was more of a learning experience for me. I wasn’t a big eater as I was always busy and just would have another cup of coffee versus having a nice meal because it was quicker. Marisa taught me how to balance life while eating well and maintaining balance. My big Challenge was I wanted to make sure I could still enjoy life by eating fun food, having a nice relaxing cocktail while still balancing portion and healthy eating while getting in a workout 5 days a week. And She taught me just that! I learned to do that, While loosing 10 pounds! I am not ending this life style today I am Continuing it and shooting to loose another 20 pounds but will be over the moon to at least get another 10! I am very happy with how far I come, and I have Marisa to thank for that. I've been going to Marisa for massage therapy since the beginning of 2018 and she's my go to massage therapist when I know its time for my muscles to decompress. Marisa's background and experience in fitness and personal training really stand out from the rest of massage therapy that I've had in the past. And as a fitness enthusiast that lifts 6x/week, that's the best combination for me personally. From my very first massage therapy session with her, I felt like she was communicating with my muscles without me even saying much. It's like she was sensing and adjusting based on the feedback on how my muscles were reacting. I bring that up every session because I think that's an incredible skill. If you want to talk during your session, she will talk. If you just want to relax and shut eye, that's fine with her too. Very professional. Sometimes she runs promotions and specials during the holiday, I would definitely take advance of that. Schedule a session with Marisa and you'll know what I'm talking about!
