Summer swimsuits and shorts are being put away but that doesn’t mean we need to fall behind on our fitness journeys aka routes.
The weather will be changing, school may be starting, and days are getting shorter, which may make it more difficult to get everything done in the day.
Fall in love with these 8 Fitness Tips Below:
Maintain a Regular Exercise Routine
A regular exercise routine means to be consistent each week! Plan out an upcoming “workout split” each week. Accept it can slightly change based on your allotted schedule but be sure to block out those times specifically for those workouts each week. I review my upcoming week every Sunday and time block out workout time. But also, sticking to a regime with a combination of both cardiovascular and resistance training is best!
Take It Outdoors
Workouts, Walks, Meal Prep, Short day time breaks; anything you can do, take it outdoors (at least if you’re here in Jersey before Winter season rolls around quickly)
Grill season is still here so taking meal prep outdoors or have a picnic even. Bring your protein packed meal with you.
Invest in An Activity Tracker
Using a fitness tracking can help in staying committed with your everyday movement, steps and overall exercise. Physically seeing the progress allows for that reassurance of feeling self-fulfilled and rewarded.
I rely so much on mine, that if its dead the workout or steps don’t even count HA (kidding, but those who know—understand me haha) It is a big component in which becomes an accountability partner!

Boost Your Immune System
Remember, 80% of your immune system is in your gut! Which means we must focus on the micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) we are feeding our bodies, not JUST the macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats). Some vitamins we can get directly from food, but perhaps not the proper dosage and variety in which the body needs to optimally function. A fall favorite immune favorite: pumpkin! Hello pumpkin season everything..
As yourself: Do you eat a 5-7 servings of variety fruits and veggies, every single day? How about 2-3 servings of fermented foods daily? Don’t forget about 2-3 servings of tropical fruits too! Tropical fruits contain digestive enzymes which help us digest and break down the food properly in which we are ingesting. Fermented foods contain probiotics which help the absorption of the food we are intaking. We can be eating all the right things, but if the body isn’t absorbing and digesting properly than the body can become malnourished and lower our immune system.
I personally use and recommend foundational supplements to help fill in both the known and unknown gaps within my everyday nutrition regime. While of course trying to get in as many whole foods as I can within the calorie range, I need to reach my desired goals, but often realize it’s quite impossible to get all the nutrients solely from whole foods. This where the role of supplements come into play.

Make Sleep a Priority
Getting enough and adequate sleep is crucial to the proper functioning of the immune system and to enhance overall fitness results. Adequate amount of sleep will provide you what you need to rest, repair, and restore with both immune system but also with muscle building/ fat loss (in which are most of our goals)
“Fall back” comes around quickly…
We want to ensure we have a well- established sleep pattern already. Sleep is tricky for us all including myself. We do the best we can to prioritize it, by doing so having evening rituals and setting boundaries can assist with the proper sleep patterns.
Goal Setting
Developing a new set of fitness goals can be exactly what we need to refocus and dial into a plan. But remember, we do not want to change it up to frequently or else we do not give ourselves long enough to see what works vs. what doesn’t. The change in season is always a good time to make changes happen in your life. This is where you can create a power list of items that contain daily tasks related in personal, fitness, professional goals that you would like to achieve THIS fall. Not this year, start small. Small Wins = Sustainable Success
